WAPIZ CAMA BAUG SALE

One of the most appreciated activities of WAPIZ is it’s WAPIZ Cama Baug Sale, which is held twice a year at Cama Baug, before Parsi New Year in August and before Jamshedi Navroze in March. WAPIZ takes both the Otlas for the Sale.

More than 100 stall holders selling everything a Parsi/Irani needs, participate in the Sale. And after shopping, there are the food stalls which help the shoppers regain their energy. New items like delicious ice cream, garab nu achar, titoori, Parsi stew etc. are added every year.

There are many participants who are regular, who have been coming for years. Many of the regulars have their fixed clientele who come to stock up on their utility and religious items. What is heartening is that a lot of young persons are coming forward, eager to participate – many are designers who are making their own jewellery, exquisite sarees, embroidered kurtis, hand painted tops, catering services, decorative items, children’s clothes, paper mache items. The sale for many is a platform for showcasing their products and they have established contacts who have become their loyal clients.

Why is the WAPIZ Cama Baug Sale Unique?

What sets apart the WAPIZ Cama Baug Sale from other similar Sales organized by other organisations is the focus on providing good facilities to the entrepreneurs and to the community members who throng the Sale.
